ORANGE GROVE - A call to Orange Grove police about two suspicious men Friday morning prompted a chase.

Police were called to the 700 block of North Eugenia Street. Major Salinas took off running as police attempted to make contact with him and the other man.

As Salinas ran he dumped narcotics and drug paraphernalia at a nearby residence, according to police.

Police were able to recover black tar heroin, acid, Xanax, an assortment of pills and drug paraphernalia.

Salinas took ownership for the narcotics and was transported to the Jim Wells County jail. 

He was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a dangerous drug, three counts of manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance, and evading arrest.
