South Texas Distillery LLC was awarded the silver medal in the Vodka category for the Distiller’s very own Specialty, Premium Wild Rag Mesquite Bean Vodka. The Distiller has taken the fruit of the resilient Mesquite Tree and handcrafted it into a fine Texas-Bred Spirit. The Mesquite Tree has long stood on the Texas range and its fruit harvested as a food source for centuries. Wild Rag’s mesquite beans are carefully hand-picked at maturity locally & from the vast lands of the Paraiso Ranch in South Texas.
The Distiller handpicked his first mesquite beans for the first Mesquite Bean Vodka batch from the trees on the very property where he was born and raised, and where he makes this premium vodka.
South Texas Distillery LLC is located in Sandia, Texas where its Distiller specializes in making the best and most unique handcrafted premium Vodka. Among the Distiller’s collection is the Silver Award-Winning Mesquite Bean Vodka; his original Wild Rag Vodka; and Wild Rag Texas Torch Cinnamon Flavored Vodka. The trio collection is a real hit with Texans and beyond.
The win is huge for this craft distillery with less than two years in the distilled spirits industry, Wild Rag® Vodka is taking Texas to a new level of excitement in the spirits market.
“Winning this medal is definitely a move in the right direction," Aguilar stated. "I have only just begun my journey as I will always strive to create the very best.”
He is mostly thankful for having been given this opportunity and is making it count.
