Two people were arrested during a raid on the 600 block of South Cameron Thursday.
Agents with the Alice Police Department and Jim Wells County Sheriff's Office executed the search and immediately made contact with Jaime Benavides outside the residence. Beside Benavides agents observed a bag of cocaine.
Inside the home were two adults and two juveniles. Police detained Amelia Barrientes who told police she does use cocaine, but also sells cocaine on occasion, according to the police report.
She also told police that she delivered cocaine to Benavides in exchange for tile work she needed done.
A search of the residence uncovered marijuana.
The 0.7 grams of cocaine and 0.2 grams of marijuana were seized. Barrientes and Benavides were booked into the JWC jail.
Barrientes was charged with manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance, and possession of marijuana. Benavides was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
