SAN DIEGO - The Junior Catholic Daughters of America were honored by San Diego Mayor Wednesday. Mayor Sally Lichtenberger read and signed a proclamation making Feb. 7, 2018 Junior Catholic Daughters of America (San Diego Chapter) Day.

JCDA is youth program in Catholic Churches around the nation for girls age six through 18. It was founded in 1926.

The purpose of the organization is to participate in the religious, charitable and educational Apostolates of the Church. The young women in JCDA engage in church and community activities while spreading the love and faith of Jesus Christ.
