SAN DIEGO - Two young ladies with the Coastal Bend College's TRIO Program visited San Diego Rotarians Tuesday for a brief presentation on how the program works for local students.

Chasity Morales, TRIO - talent search project director, and Cristina Ruvalcaba, TRIO - talent search advisor, explained to the Rotarians about the free services students can benefit from.

Morales went through the program topics such as pay for academic testing, career assessment, financial aid services, scholarships, college tours and more.

TRIO is a federally fund programs.

There are eight school districts including San Diego ISD that benefit from the program. According to Morales, there are approximately 116 students in the program and approximately 25 of those students are from SDISD.

Several Rotarians took advantage of the presentation to get applications for their children.

The program is always on the lookout for students especially ninth and 10th grade students.
