CORPUS CHRISTI – The newly-built, freestanding medical rehabilitation hospital, PAM Rehabilitation Hospital of Corpus Christi, will be adding more than 200 jobs to the Corpus Christi area this Spring.
Opening on the Bayfront in beautiful downtown Corpus Christi in May 2018, the three-story hospital will consist of 40 Inpatient Rehabilitation and 20 Long Term Acute Care private beds. This facility offers personalized inpatient medical rehabilitation for patients who have experienced stroke, brain injury, neurological disease and deficits, amputations, pulmonary disease, orthopedic conditions, spinal cord injury and other medically complex conditions.
In addition to medical management, the facilities’ first floor will be home to wound care, therapy and other outpatient services. Post Acute Medical is also known for its long history of meeting the rehabilitation needs of active duty military, veterans and their family members.
When asked about the positive impact this new facility will have on the Corpus Christi community, Michael Pierce, Chief Executive Officer of PAM Rehabilitation Hospital, stated, “We are thrilled about the rehabilitative programs that will be offered at our hospital. These programs will allow patients to recover from debilitating illnesses and injuries while staying closer to home.”
With two established locations in the Corpus Christi area, Post Acute Medical has strong nursing and therapy teams already serving the community, and is excited for the additional job opportunities being created with the development of the PAM Rehabilitation Hospital.
