SAN DIEGO - San Diego firefighters and police are looking for anyone with information on a grass fire firefighters battled on Tuesday in the creek area off of East Juanita Street.

After the fire was extinguished, first responders were notified that the fire may have been started by someone popping fireworks, according to Fire Chief Juan Soliz.

The fire and police departments need the help, from the community, to find out information about this incident.

"We are very glad that no one got hurt, but most of all we are glad no life or properties were lost during the creek fire," Soliz stated. "So many houses were in danger and we want to make sure this doesn't happen again with a different outcome."

Anyone with information is urged to contact the San Diego Police Department at 361-279-3341 or Chief Soliz at 361-207-4171.
