A 33-year-old man from San Diego was traveling east on Highway 44 when the front right tire of his GMC truck had a blowout Thursday morning.

According to Department of Public Safety Trooper Raul Ochoa, after the truck had a blowout it made a left turn, went into median, into the westbound lane, in the bar ditch and came to a final rest on the train tracks.

The driver got out the vehicle and attempted to get the truck off the tracks, but the truck was struck by a train traveling east near Farm-to-Market 2507.

The driver was not injured.
