Juan Carlos Ramos was arrested Friday morning after police responded to a call at a home on the 2100 block on South Reynolds.
Police were initially called to the residence for a disturbance and shots fired. When they arrived police made contact with Ramos outside the home.
As investigators questioned Ramos about the shots fired they were alerted to three children inside the home, according to police.
The mother of the children was also present at the time of the incident, but was uncooperative with police and would not let investigators inside the home.
According to investigators, Ramos gave them access to the residence and also turned over the firearm.
Ramos told police he shot the firearm towards the ceiling following a disturbance.
Ramos was transported to the Jim Wells County jail. He was charged with three counts of child end
