Suspects follow victims home after bar dispute
Three women were arrested Thursday morning for simple assault on the 700 block of Gibson Street following an argument at a local bar. According to the victims, they noticed they had been followed home by Kristen Alfaro, Bianca Chapa and Lavanna Flores.
At the home on Gibson Street, the victims were assaulted by the women. Alfaro admitted to police that they indeed followed the victims to confront them about the dispute at the bar. The women were transported to the Jim Wells County jail.
Officers were dispatched to an apartment on the 100 block of South Duval for an odor of marijuana Wednesday. When officers arrived they made contact with Jonathan Mcada at the apartment. Officers observed a green bottle that contained 3.1 grams of marijuana in plain view. Mcada was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. He was taken to the JWC jail.
No child support
Jean Flores was arrested Wednesday on the 700 block of North Johnson Street. Police were called to a residence on the 900 block of East Hill. When they arrived they made contact with the victim who stated Flores shattered his vehicle’s windshield when she threw a brick at his vehicle.
According to the victim, he was dropping of his son at Flores’ residence when she began an argument over unpaid child support. The victim decided to drive away from the situation and that’s when Flores threw the brick. Inside the vehicle, at the time of the incident, was an 8-month infant.
Flores admitted to throwing the brick. She was transported to the JWC jail.
