Forty-six year old Guadalupe Munoz Jr. was arrested after officers located 29 baggies of cocaine and 24 baggies of heroin in the vehicle he was driving.
On Wednesday, Munoz of Alice was pulled over for a traffic violation on the 1700 block of Texas Boulevard. The officer made contact with Munoz and detected an odor of marijuana.
Munoz and his girlfriend were detained. Officers searched the vehicle and located the narcotics.
The couple was transported to the Alice Police Department.
"Alice Police Department's Narcotic Division will continue to intercept narcotics being brought in and being sold in our community," said Lt. Luis Barrera with Alice PD.
Munoz's girlfriend was released.
Munoz was charged with two counts of manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance. He was transported to the Jim Wells County jail.
