With a flip of a switch Alice kicked off the Christmas season and the start of the annual Christmas Parade Tuesday night.

The parade started at 6 p.m. with the sirens and flashing lights of local first responders.

Vendors walked up and down the parade line enticing children with cotton candy, lighted toys, bubble machines and poppers.

The parade ended with Santa Clause on the Alice Fire Department Engine.
