The Cities of Freer and San Diego will host their annual Christmas parades for the small town residents on Sat., Dec. 9 and Tuesday, Dec. 19.
Floats are decorated with lights and other Christmas decorations as the streets are lined with residents of all ages waiting to see the lighted floats as the children anxiously await Santa Clause.
Freer's parade is scheduled on Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. starting at the Norman Thomas Elementary and ending on Sun Street. House decorating contest winners will be announced after the parade.
San Diego's parade is set for Dec. 19 at 6:30 p.m. The parade will start at the Lowe's Store. The deadline to submit a float application is Dec. 13 at the City Hall.
Benavides will not have a Christmas parade this year.
The parades will end with a meet and greet with Santa Clause.
