Police search for man for alleged stabbing
San Diego police were dispatched to the hospital in Alice on October to visit a stabbing victim. According to police, the 26-year-old victim was stabbed several times at a party in San Diego. After an investigation into the events that led to the stabbing, police were able to get an arrest warrant for the alleged suspect, 37-year-old Antonio Trevino of Alice. Anyone with information on Trevino's whereabouts is urged to call the San Diego Police Department at 361-279-3341.
Burglary suspect arrested on property
On Saturday, police were called out to a convenience store on the 700 block of East Gravis. When officers arrived they located 31-year-old Jose Rene Gonzalez in the brush by the store, according to police. After reviewing the store's surveillance footage, Gonzalez was arrested and charged with burglary of a building. He was transported to the Duval County jail.
Burglary suspect wanted
Police responded to an alarm call at a bar on the 700 block of West Gravis Street on Nov. 1. Through the investigation an arrest warrant was issued for 44-year-old Noe Omar Castillo of Alice. San Diego police with the assistance of Jim Wells County deputies attempted to apprehend Castillo at his home, but were unable to locate him. Castillo is wanted for burglary of a building and criminal mischief. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call 361-279-3341.
Ice cream thief
Norma Jean Garcia was arrested in connection with a break in at a convenience store in October. According to police, Garcia broke into the store on the 700 block of East Gravis Street and took $74.70 worth of ice cream. She was transported to the Duval County jail.
Elderly man arrested in burglary case
According to police, 60-year-old Alfredo Hinojosa was arrested for a break-in at a store located on the 1000 block of East Gravis Street. Officers were dispatched to the store in October where they observed two registers stolen. The cash registers had approximately $850 in cash. Hinojosa was apprehended at his home and transported to the Duval County jail. He was charged with burglary of a building.
