Forty-two year old Cenaida Montoya was arrested Friday, Nov. 3 for allegedly robbing her elderly neighbor.

According to Investigator Isaac Salinas, the 70-year-old victim reported that Montoya had gone to her home on the 900 block of North Aransas to offer her some pants. That's when Montoya allegedly took the victim's wallet. The wallet contained the victim's credit and debit cards as well as other important documents.

Montoya was seen through surveillance footage using the victim's cards. The stolen cards were used at two different locations for a total of $141.42.

According to Salinas' press release, Montoya purchased gas, carton of cigarettes, two cases of sodas, two cans of alcohol beverages and a bag of chips.

Montoya was charged with burglary of habitation and credit card abuse of elderly. She was transported to the Jim Wells County jail and given a total bond of $10,000.
