Jim Wells County Investigators recently recovered a stolen Polaris Ranger valued at $18,000 at a residence on the 400 block of County Road 419 in Premont.

On Oct. 24, investigators were notified of a burglary on County Road 437. According to the reporting party, someone broke into a barn on the property, cut the perimeter fence and drove the vehicle off the property. The unknown suspect also took a weed eater valued at $325.

After an extensive investigation by Sgt. Lucas Thompson with the Jim Wells County Sheriff's Office, and Agent Moe Saavedra of the Central South Texas Criminal Investigation Unit in conjunction with the Duval County Sheriff's Office, the missing vehicle was located in the back of a residence in Premont.

Investigators interviewed a man on the property who stated two Hispanic men offered to pay him to park the vehicle on his property, according to Thompson.

No arrests were made. The investigation is ongoing.
