On Tuesday, Oct. 24, Hillcrest Elementary students received a visit from the Border Patrol and their K-9 Unit. The visit was in conjunction with Red Ribbon Week.
During the visit students were educated about many dangers that face young students. The K-9 Officer also treated them to a demonstration.
Students were able to ask questions after the demonstration and received some information including what it takes to pursue a career with the Border Patrol. The officer’s response was to stay in school, work hard to get good grades and stay physically fit.
