FALFURRIAS – Cynthia Perez, daughter of Duval County Constable Precinct 4 Ramiro Perez, was recently arrested in the City of Falfurrias for driving while intoxicated and for possession of a prohibited substance in a correctional facility.
According to Falfurrias Police Chief Alberto Gonzalez, Perez was stopped on the 900 block of Negri Street by one of his officers. The police report states that Perez failed to maintain a single mark lane. She went into the grassy area before she managed to get back on the road.
When the officer approached Perez he could easily smell the alcohol emitting from her vehicle. Perez told the officer she was on her way to visit a friend who lived in the city.
Perez failed a sobriety test that was administered at the scene. She was transported to the Brooks County jail.
At the jail, Perez was found to be in possession of two bags of cocaine in her possession, according to Brooks County Commander JV Rivera.
