A raid on the 1100 block of Madison Street led to the seizure of Xanax pills and marijuana sending one man to jail.

On Monday, agents with the Jim Wells County Sheriff's Department executed a narcotic search warrant at the residence and found three adults inside.

A search of the home discovered 29 grams of Xanax pills, under two ounces of marijuana and four vials of testosterone enanthate, a steroid, inside the bedroom of Jose Hinojosa. Also found was drug paraphernalia.

The other two adults in the home were released. The case is under investigation and arrests are pending.

“There are interesting things going on whether on the north side, south side,” said JWC Sheriff Daniel Bueno. “The availability is everywhere regardless and we will be there to disrupt the sell and distribution of illegal drugs.”

The 32-year-old was booked into the Jim Wells County jail. He was charged with possession of marijuana and manufacturing, and delivery of a controlled substance.
