The Alice Fire Department received a healthy meal from the Jim Wells County Safety Inspection and the Emergency Management Department.

Ryan Farrell, safety officer, delivered the meal on behalf of the departments in appreciation for everything they do for the residents of Alice, JWC and the surrounding communities.

“They're all about saving live in our community and they support surrounding communities in emergencies,” Farrell said. “They put their lives on the line.”

The men and women of the AFD also engage with the community by hosting programs such as smoke alarm programs, fire extinguisher training, the Muscular Dystrophy Association - Fill the Boot Campaign, Childhood Cancer Awareness, carseat awareness training, and were much a part of the emergency evacuation production.
