A hit and run that involved a pedestrian Monday morning claimed the life of a 53-year-old Robstown man.
Texas Department of Public Safety troopers investigated the auto-pedestrian hit and run fatality crash that occurred on Farm-to-Market 624, approximately ten miles west of Corpus Christi that left Marcos Garza dead, according to Sgt. Nathan Brandley with DPS.
The preliminary investigation revealed a hit and run fatality crash took place on FM 624 along the eastbound side of the road. A passing motorist stopped and called authorities to report a hit and run crash.
According to Brandley, the unknown driver of the vehicle that struck Garza left the scene and did not report the crash.
Anyone who has information pertaining to this accident is urged to contact Corpus Christi DPS with any details. Troopers continue to investigate the crash.
