The Duval County Sheriff's Office, the City of San Diego staff and volunteers in the the collection of items needed to assist all those individuals in the Coastal Bend who were affected by Hurricane Harvey.
"But most importantly I would like to thank you, the citizens, businesses, and organizations throughout Duval County for your kind hearted donations in support of the victims affected by Hurricane Harvey," said Duval County Sheriff Romeo Ramirez. "My office as well as a few members of the community departed for the Coastal Bend region early (Wednesday) morning to deliver your goods."
Donations and volunteers have found the areas in Texas that were affected by Hurricane Harvey approximately two weeks ago.
Hurricane Harvey hit between Rockport and Aransas Pass as a category 4 and devastated towns.
