Volunteers have been busy at the City of Alice Recycling Center as they prepare to take donations to the victims of Hurricane Harvey.

Hurricane Harvey was a category 4 when it made landfall between Rockport and Aransas Pass. Hurricane Harvey caused major damage to several cities leaving many without homes, clothing or food. Volunteers and donations have poured in not only from the Coastal Bend, but from the nation.

In order to assist the victims of Hurricane Harvey donations will be accepted until Sept. 6 at the recycling center from 9 a.m. till 6 p.m. depending on volunteers available.

The city asks for your donations, but they are also in need of volunteers to help sort the donations that have poured in on the first day.
