Since the landfall of Hurricane Harvey on August 25 people around the nation have stepped up their efforts to assist the victims who were left with nothing to their name, but the clothes on their backs.
On Saturday, the students of Benavides ISD and the Benavides community gathered donations. The residents of Freer also assisted victims when they visited Rockport Wednesday.
The residents of Rockport and other cities were devastated after a Category 4 hurricane hit the Texas border. Many people lost their homes and personal belongings.
With supplies in tow residents of Freer and Benavides donated everything from water to diapers for those in need. Many of these same individuals passed out donations to those in need of supplies.
