Category 4 Hurricane Harvey hit the coast of Texas with wind speeds of 115 and heavy rain. Hurricane Harvey left a path of destruction.
Residents of South Texas joined forces as they collected non perishable goods, water, clothing and food. But before all that could reach victims of Hurricane Harvey first responders went into search and rescue mode.
Later cleanup crews and linemen began to bring back life into the devastated areas such as Rockport, Aransas Pass and Port Aransas. Firefighters from Mexico made a pit stop at the Alice Fire Department as they looked for ways to be of assistance during such a tragic moment in Texas history.
People from everywhere, regardless of race, color or religion flocked to the devastated areas to help their neighbors in need.
