Agua Dulce Fire Department received five new pagers that would help them respond to calls with ease.

According to Agua Dulce fire personnel, the pagers along with new mapping of service lines in Jim Wells County gives the department the opportunity to respond to fire without confusion.

Due to government and state guidelines, the ADFD had to carry two radios because they serve Jim Wells and Nueces County. With the new pagers the department will get "paged out" by dispatchers who don't have the daunting task of calling Nueces County before calling the department.

The pagers have a storage capability that allows firefighters to review the initial page. Pagers were donated by the Jim Wells County sheriff's drug forfeiture fund.
