On Monday, an Alice police officer and Jim Wells County Deputy made contact with Paul Sanchez who was found asleep at the traffic light at the intersection of Cameron and East Front Streets. Sanchez told the officers that he had just got out of work and was tired. Sanchez was patted down for officer safety. In plain view, was a bag of synthetic marijuana and small amounts of synthetic marijuana on the driver's seat. Sanchez was arrested and transported to the JWC jail. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Joe Soulas was arrested at a residence on the 100 block of Tickle Street Thursday. Officers made contact with Soulas who was sitting in the driveway. The homeowner told police Soulas was unwanted at the residence due to his use of drugs. Officers found a lighter and a small marijuana cigarette were Soulas sat in the driveway. Soulas was charged with public intoxication and transported to the JWC jail.
