Candelario Estrada, age 81, passed away July 8, 2017 in Alice, Texas. He was born February 19, 1936 in Alice, Texas to Leandro and Maria Estrada. He was a supervisor for Well Tech and Neighbors for several years. Some of his hobbies included hunting, racehorses and rooster fights. He will forever be remembered for his love of family gatherings and his joking character.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leandro and Maria Estrada; and two brothers, Manuel and Ignacio Estrada.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Tillie Estrada of Alice; one son, Hector Estrada (Delma) of Alice; one daughter, Elda Estrada Vidal of Alice; two brothers, Leandro Estrada Jr. (Hilda) of Alice and Hector Estrada of Alice; five sisters, Maria Ester Estrada of Alice, Margarita Cardona of Alice, Ernestina Estrada of Alice, Dominga Hernandez of Baytown, and Tomasita Vasquez (Jesus) of California; three grandchildren, Jason Wright (Monica) of Alice, Justin Vidal (Stephanie) of Alice, and Mia Garcia (Gabriel) of Alice; four great-grandchildren, Madyson Wright, Jacob Wright, Lilly Vidal and Mason Vidal; one sister in law, Rosie Villanueva (Tony) of Buckholt, Texas; three brothers in law, Paul Perez of Aransas Pass, Israel Perez (Linda) of Freer; and Edward Perez of Freer; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 10, 2017 from 5 till 9 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home with a Rosary being recited at 7 p.m. that evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 2 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Roberson Collins Cemetery.
