Isaura Sanchez Garcia, age 96, Passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017 in the comfort of her room at Meridian Nursing Home. She was a great woman of God with a passion for the word of God and lived as an example for all to see and speak about. She loved to sing to the Lord and all that knew her, looked up to her and were drawn to her during their time of need for prayer. Isaura will be greatly missed by her family and also by the Meridian staff and the River City Hospice Staff, who cared for her and learned to love her. Room 222 will never be the same.

Isaura was born in Eagle Pass, Tx. on June 3, 1921 to Rafael Sanchez and Guadalupe Gamboa Sanchez. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Rev. Ernesto B. Garcia, her son: Ernesto Garcia Jr., granddaughter: Sandra Jimenez, grandson: Joel “Joey” Garcia, great-granddaughter: Alyssa Trejo, brothers: Lupe G. (Tila) Sanchez, Rafael Sanchez Jr., Manuel Sanchez, Dimas Sanchez and sister: Hilda Guerrero.

Survivors: 2 daughters: Yolanda (Rev. Domingo) Vela, Ernestina (Roger) Trevino; and

2 sons: Victoriano “Vicko” (Marta) Garcia, David Ricardo (Linda) Garcia; Daughter-in-law: Delia Garcia; Brother-in-law: Joe Garcia Jr.; 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 5 PM at the Templo El Sacrificio Liberacion Church on the corner of Schley and S. Aransas Alice, Texas with a Prayer service to be held that same evening at 7PM.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at the Templo El Sacrificio Liberacion Church beginning at 10AM with Rev. Domingo Vela officiating.

Burial will follow in the New Collins Cemetery.
