CORPUS CHRISTI - Hundreds lined up to get a taste of different cuisines from restaurants and caterers in the Coastal Bend on Wednesday at the Solomon P. Ortiz center.

"This is the best dessert I've had," said Melody Roller of Portland, Texas as she tried a blueberry cheesecake sample.

Roller and Tommy Gisler of Orange Grove tried the variety of foods at the Taste of the Coastal Bend sponsored by Miller Lite, The Corpus Christi Gas Department and Thomas J. Henry law firm.

Live music was also provided.

Portion of the entry fee will benefit the Ronald McDonald House and the families it serves.
