My Name is Jillian Villarreal and I am the daughter of Trisha and Jesse Villarreal. I am in the Alice High School Honors Band playing trumpet, and was also the trumpet section leader for the AHS Marching Band. I was also a part of the Alice High School Swim Team and was a 4 year letterman. I participated in District, and Regionals, and medaled in both competitions. I am also a member of the National Honor Society and have completed over 80 hours in my time being in the organization.

In May 2017, I will be graduating with the highest diploma at AHS known as Distinguished. I plan on attending Texas A&M-Corpus Christi to obtain a degree in health science. In the future, I want to pursue a career as an NICU Nurse. I want to have the opportunity to help make sure the babies of the future are nursed to health and are able to bring joy to the world. I think every family, and every mother deserves the joy of their infant being happy and healthy, and that is what I want to help them with.

The best advice I have ever gotten was “even when you feel like things are falling apart, you still have to give it your all. Even if it falls apart you know deep down inside you tried your best and that’s what matters the most”. This advice was given to me by my best friend who I love dearly and can always count on no matter what.

In about five years I still see myself going to school, but just about to finish up so I can start saving the lives of the innocent babies, so that they may bring joy to the world.

The thing that I would change about this world is the social media we have today. In my opinion, all the technology we carry, and the social media we scroll through is the cause for so much violence and cruelty in this world. We were perfectly fine when we didn’t have it, therefore I’m more than sure we’ll be fine without it if it were non-existent.

If I could invite three people to dinner I would definitely invite Kevin Hart, so he can make me laugh the whole time, Elvis Presley, so he can sing to me at dinner, and finally, Jesus Christ, because I have so many questions about the world, and I’m more than sure he will answer them.
