Washington – Congressman Vicente Gonzalez, who represents Texas 15th Congressional District, has chosen San Diego, Texas, as the site for an outreach office in the tri-county area.

The recently constructed San Diego City Hall, a USDA Rural Development-funded project, will house the congressman’s new outreach office. The congressman’s San Diego Office is set to open next month with a ribbon cutting ceremony to follow. Further details for the ceremony are forthcoming.

“I am committed to representing every person in the 15th District and know that constituent services are a vital part of the operation of every congressional office,” said Congressman Vicente Gonzalez. “My team and I have been working hard for the district since day one, and we are going to make ourselves accessible to all of our constituents.”

Once opened, office hours will be Monday – Friday, from 9 a.m. till 6 p.m., and closed for federal holidays. The congressman’s new Outreach Coordinator Albert Martinez will staff the San Diego office and provide a variety of services to those seeking assistance with a federal agency in the tri-county area.

“We are excited that Congressman Vicente Gonzalez has chosen the City of San Diego as the site of a district office,” said San Diego Mayor Sally Lichtenberger. “This new office will further expose the City of San Diego and its residents to federal resources and connect San Diego to Washington, D.C.”

Congressman Gonzalez was elected last November and was sworn into office in January 2017. The congressman also has offices in Washington, D.C., Edinburg, Texas, and Benavides, Texas.
