San Diego High School students graduated Friday night and received their diplomas in front of family, friends and faculty.
Top 10 graduates were Adrian Vera, Taylor Renne Helton, Gilbert Pena Jr., Ricardo Noel Garcia, Cassandra Kailynn Gonzalez, Laura Carmen Canales, Lorena Marie Vera, Javier Roel Rodriguez, Cierra Elizabeth Perez and Jose Olivero Carrillo III.
Valedictorian Adrian Vera and Salutatorian Taylor Renee Helton gave their addresses to the Class of 2017.
Guest Speaker was San Diego Class of 1990 Harold Christopher Waller, an attorney with the office of Chris Waller in Corpus Christi. He has received many honors and is the founder of Coastal Bend Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. In 2016-2017, he was chosen as Top Best Attorneys in Texas by the American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys. Waller was also past president of the Corpus Christi Bar Association Criminal Law Section.
After the ceremony, the San Diego graduates concluded with the traditional throwing of the caps in the air.
