Manuela Garza, 89 years of age, passed away May 14, 2017 in Alice, Texas. She was born October 12, 1927 in Robstown, Texas to Estanislado Rodriguez and Maria Luera. She enjoyed spanish music, family gatherings, barbecues, and holidays – Christmas being her favorite holiday. She was known to many for her love of life, her family and her husband of 65 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Estanislado Rodriguez and Maria Luera; her husband, Marcelino Garza and numerous siblings.

She is survived by two sons, Jesus Garza and Manuel Garza (Diana) both of Alice, Texas; four daughters, Andrea Flores of Alice, Texas, Julie Niño (the late Roy Niño) of Corpus Christi, Texas, Yolanda Janie Suarez (Juan) of Alice, Texas and Nora Zamora (Ciro) of Alice, Texas; one brother, Jose Hinojosa of Alice, Texas; one sister, Francisca Delgado of Alice, Texas; 20 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren, 30 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 5 till 9 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary being recited at 7 p.m. that evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, May 19, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial to follow at New Collins Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Niño, Christopher Zamora, Adrian Garza, Alex Jiminian, Andres Jiminian, and Jay Stockmaster.
