On Wednesday, May 3, deputies with the Jim Wells County Sheriff’s Office responded to the1200 block of County Road 420 in reference to recover stolen property.
Upon JWSO deputies arrival contact was made with Brooks County investigator John Gomez who stated that a trailer and tractor that were stolen out of Brooks County.
The stolen property was described as the following, a black in color 5ftX8ft ramp trailer approximately $1,800 with a green John Deere riding lawn mower on the trailer valued at $1,499.
The property was recovered. No arrests were made.
"The sheriff is holding his deputies to the highest standards possible, said Lt. Alan Gonzalez with the JWCSO. "We are working every case form the south to the north of the county."
Gonzalez reminds property owners about the importance of writing serial numbers of their items or using a permanent marker to write on their property in order that would help law enforcement identify property in the event it is stolen.
