Juveniles arrested

Three juveniles were transported to the juvenile detention center in San Diego after they were arrested Saturday, May 6 for criminal trespass. An Alice police officer was dispatched to the Alice High School when he observed the three boys running from the campus. The officer made contact with the juveniles who stated they had been kicked out of the baseball game. According to campus security,the boys entered the locked gym when they were suspended knowing they were not allowed on campus due to the suspension.

Possession and Evading Officers

On Friday evening officers responded to a intoxicated man call on the 800 block of North Wright Street. Officers observed Julio Rodriguez running from the scene and refused to comply with officers commands. During the short foot pursuit, Rodriguez threw a bag of synthetic marijuana on the ground. Rodriguez was taken to the Jim Wells County jail and charged with possession of a controlled substance and evading arrest.

Parked on Train Tracks

Officers received a call concerning a vehicle parked on the train tracks on South Stadium. Officer Herman Arellano arrived at the scene to find Eric Zungia passed out behind the wheel. When the driver awoke he drove off the tracks. The officer than conducted a traffic stop. Zungia was arrested for driving while intoxicated. A search of his vehicle uncovered a bag of marijuana. He was taken to the JWC jail. Zungia was also charged with possession of marijuana.
