One by one each graduate received their Career Ready certification and a hand shake from community leaders.
Fourteen individuals took an extra step to get certified as Career Ready through WorkForce Solutions.
Each graduate was called by name with Pomps and Circumstance graduation walking march played in the background.
Special guest speakers were County Judge Pete Trevino Jr. and City Manager Andy Joslin who encouraged the graduates to stay positive and not to give up.
The certification is a continuing education credit hours through Coastal Bend College.
The four-day workshop enables individuals to build job skills that employers are looking for in a business setting.
Some of the skills included communication, teamwork, analytical problem solving, personal management, interpersonal effectiveness, strong work ethics, computer technical literacy, leadership and time management skills.
