William Adams Middle School staff raised more than $200 to help a student and his brother with their animal food drive.

WAMS staff raised money by paying to wear blue jeans during the last week of school before the holiday break.

The money was used to purchase pet food and supplies for the animal food drive that Willian Kuhlman, seventh grader at WAMS, and his brother Moose Salinas, student at Hillcrest Elementary are sponsoring.

The boys will be collecting pet food and supplies for the Alice Food Pantry through Jan. 13.

Foods that are in need are dry and canned dog food, dry and canned cat food, kitten, puppy and senior food, dog treats and cat litter to name a few. All other supplies such as blankets, leashes and toys, are appreciated.

Drop off locations include Jim Wells County Sheriff's Office, Alice Fire and Police Departments, Bordeaux Apartments, Hillcrest Elementary, Alice High School, Alice Christian School, Good Foundation Daycare, William Adams Middle School, Dubose Elementary, Mary R. Garcia Elementary and St. Joseph Catholic School.
