On Friday, Dec. 30 Officer John De Leon observed a speeding vehicle on South Highway 281. The officer conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver Eliana Rodriguez and passenger Taylor Flores. De Leon detected an odor of marijuana. As the officer searched the area of the vehicle he located a clear plastic bag with a marijuana cigarette. Rodriguez and Flores were arrested and transported to the Jim Wells County jail. They were charged with possession of marijuana.
Woman arrested for possession
A routine traffic stop Thursday, Dec. 29 on the 400 block of Easterling Drive lead to the arrest of Sarah Trevino for possession of marijuana. During the roadside interview with Trevino Officer Herman Arellano detected an odor of marijuana from the vehicle. Trevino handed a clear container with a bag of marijuana to the officer. A pipe was also located. Trevino was transported to the JWC jail.
Brandol Guerrero Saldivar was arrested Tuesday, Dec. 27 during a traffic stop on Olmito and Sain Street. Officer Brandon Reynolds made contact with Saldivar and detected an odor of marijuana. A search of the vehicle lead to the discovery of a bag of marijuana, a glass pipe and a pink grinder with marijuana inside. Saldivar was taken to the JWC jail and charged with two outstanding warrants, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
